المقارنة والتفضيل في الإنجليزية — Comparative Superlative
المقارنة (Comparative) تستخدم للمقارنة بين شخصين أو شيئين. التفضيل (Superlative) تستخدم للتفضيل بين ثلاثة أو أكثر.
الفرق الأساسي:
Comparative: مقارنة بين اثنين → "أكبر من"
Superlative: تفضيل بين ثلاثة أو أكثر → "الأكبر"
أولاً: صفات المقارنة (Comparative Adjectives)
القاعدة:
- الصفات القصيرة (مقطع واحد): صفة + -er + than
- الصفات الطويلة (مقطعين فأكثر): more + صفة + than
الفرق بين النوعين:
- Short adjectives: صفة + er (tall → taller)
- Long adjectives: more + صفة (beautiful → more beautiful)
الصفات القصيرة (Short Adjectives)
صفة + er + than:
- Ahmed is taller than Ali. (أطول من)
- My car is faster than yours. (أسرع من)
- This book is cheaper than that one. (أرخص من)
- Today is hotter than yesterday. (أحر من — لاحظ مضاعفة الحرف)
- She is happier than before. (أسعد — y → ier)
قواعد إملائية:
- صفة تنتهي بـ e → أضف r فقط: large → larger
- صفة مكونة من حرف ساكن + متحرك + ساكن → ضاعف الحرف: big → bigger
- صفة تنتهي بـ y → y → i + er: happy → happier, easy → easier
الصفات الطويلة (Long Adjectives)
more + صفة + than:
- She is more intelligent than her brother. (أكثر ذكاءً من)
- This dress is more expensive than that one. (أغلى من)
- He is more patient than me. (أكثر صبراً من)
- The movie was more interesting than the book. (أكثر إثارة من)
ثانياً: صفات التفضيل (Superlative Adjectives)
القاعدة:
- الصفات القصيرة: the + صفة + -est
- الصفات الطويلة: the most + صفة
الصفات القصيرة: the + صفة + est:
- Ahmed is the tallest in the class. (الأطول)
- This is the cheapest restaurant in town. (الأرخص)
- She is the happiest person I know. (الأسعد)
- Yesterday was the hottest day of the year. (الأحر)
الصفات الطويلة: the most + صفة:
- She is the most intelligent student. (الأكثر ذكاءً)
- This is the most expensive hotel. (الأغلى)
- He is the most generous person I know. (الأكثر كرماً)

الصفات الشاذة (Irregular Forms)
بعض الصفات لها أشكال غير منتظمة:

تستخدم as + صفة + as للمقارنة بين شيئين متساويين.

- This book is as interesting as that one. (ممتع مثل)
والنفي: not as + صفة + as
- I am not as tall as him. (لست بطوله)
- This car is not as expensive as that one. (ليست بغلاها)

The iPhone is more expensive than the Samsung, but both are great.
